Workers are losing their ability to think critically at the same time as Americans are being stripped of their consumer/workplace protections. Pay attention.
I’m concerned about the increase in people officially reporting cognitive decline/brain fog, and other debilitating illnesses since the start of this COVID pandemic (still ongoing). In addition, there are probably millions of people with COVID-related cognitive decline who are under-reported/not diagnosed. What are the implications for the future of democracy & citizen engagement, and fighting this oligarchic/autocratic MUMP administration, in a world where people’s critical thinking skills, memory, and cognitive/physical stamina have been impaired on such a wide scale? In my own red state, the legislature/governor rolled back our statewide vote by mail capabilities….increasingly, people with disabilities, older voters, working families, & marginalized people without time/access to transportation, are having voting rights curtailed.
I want to record a song that samples, “We’re gonna have a fuckin’ problem,” from this post. 🤌
